Although rare, female dragons may have offspring. Unlike mammals, the mother is not vulnerable during the weeks after having laid her eggs... but the eggs most certainly are. All eggs are securely kept in the nursery along with the youngest drakelings. A few well tamed dragons function as nurses there, maintaining the heat to both suit the eggs and the drakelings. Humans are still rather cautious to enter as parents often visit their children and are highly protective of them.
