(better pictures for both: coming soon)
Name:
Snorre Thoresteinn
Gender:
male
Age:
17
Birthday:
August 18
Village:
Tale
Job:
Mailer
Weapon(s):
Just an axe; anything more and he'd probably do more harm to himself than anyone else.
Appearance:
Because of the harsh winds constantly lashing at his face, Snorre has chapped cheeks and a nigh perpetual squint, along with a tangled mess of dirty blond hair. His mouth is usually drawn taut in a large smile. His skin isn't exactly pale, but it isn't too heavily tanned either. If anything, it leans more towards pink. Across his shoulders and nose he has a faint spattering of freckles. He is light and svelte, helping greatly to maximize the delivery time for messages, but making it hard to think of him as tough a viking as some of the bigger and burlier men. To make up for his short (read: barely 5'6") stature, he wears a broad-shouldered, hooded fur vest to give the illusion that he's bigger than he is. He isn't the strongest of men, but he can manage to hold his own in a fight well enough. It helps that he can easily scramble like a monkey up into alcoves if he really needs to get away. Unfortunately, he's fallen off both his hiding spots and his dragon a number of times, gaining him a crooked nose and a myriad of cuts and bruises. On the bright side, he hasn't actually lost any limbs--yet.
Personality:
Snorre is, above all, an impatient perfectionist. He wants things done right and he wants them done quickly. This doesn't work out as well as one might hope, since it's incredibly difficult to be meticulous when you're rushing about like an angry bee. Some might say that Snorre just doesn't know how to relax: he hates downtime, as he feels that it's a waste and that more productive things could be done with that free time. However, it is possible for him to settle down for a bit, just not for very long unless someone convinces him that sometimes it's okay to take a break. This rush-about personality was a necessity instilled in him by the danger of the wyrms. He fears that only bad things result from "laziness", a belief that pushes Snorre to be a bit of a workaholic. He takes his job extremely seriously and will do whatever it takes to get peoples' messages and packages delivered on time. Deep down though, he yearns for more peaceful times and wants nothing more than a break from all the hustle and bustle.
Though he prefers to keep himself busy, Snorre isn't entirely antisocial. He's happy to help anyone in need of assistance, provided it doesn't interfere with his delivery. In fact, he really likes being around people; he just doesn't often have the opportunity to stay with them very long. It wouldn't be a too much of a stretch to say that he spends more time in the air than on land.
Dragon:
Bard and Gilli
Species:
Hideous Zippleback
Appearance:
As all Zipplebacks, they have two heads, with Bard on the left and Gilli on the right. Instead of the typical lime green to yellow green colour, they are a darker hue, closer to the colour of trees in the summer. Their spines are a paler shade of purple, a fuchsia verging on pink. Like Snorre, Bard and Gilli are a bit smaller than average. This aids with Snorre's job as a mailer, since their smaller size and lighter weight allow for greater speed.
Personality:
Bard and Gilli are naturally inquisitive, leading them to sometimes dally along and inspect the most trivial of objects (much to Snorre's chagrin). However, they're generally quite understanding and amicable when they're not bickering with each other. They rely heavily on their ability to veil themselves with their smoke, as they're not very good at offensive combat (again, like Snorre). This evasiveness is a major advantage to the mailing business, as the time that could have been wasted in battle is put to good use as extra delivery time. Bard is a tad more cautious than Gilli: When Snorre has trouble deciding whether to take a wholesome yet longer route or a relatively dangerous shortcut, it's definitely Gilli that will try to take the more adventurous route.
Additional Info:
Nothing for now.
