It was a stick. A big stick. Actually it was more like a branch. It was not that it tasted good, not at all. It just... demanded to be chewed on. That was the only way she could describe it. Not that she would actually take the time to describe it to someone. He bit down hard on one end of it, causing a satisfying crunch. She jerked her head, twisting it and breaking it. Then she jerked her head again to the other side, trying to break it off. It was not a dead branch, it was one retrieved from a living tree. In fact, it was still attached. Mange was sitting up in a tree. So the branch was rather resistant to being snapped so easily. She braced her paw against the side and pressed hard, steadily applying more and more pressure. Finally she managed to sever the piece from the rest. She chewed on it for a moment before letting out a soft growl and stopping.
Oh great. Now she was bored again.
She could have easily torn up the rest, but now that it was no longer whole it just did not seem satisfying anymore. Mange flopped down on the large bough and stared down at the people. She was not easily seen while surrounded by the leaves. This was good, she could easily people-watch without having anybody point-and-gawk at her. Of course, just people-watching was boring too. She licked at the piece of wood still stuck in her mouth and rolled it to the front of her mouth. She spat it out at one of the humans then quickly ducked back, listening for a reaction while trying not to laugh like an idiot.

Tier had gotten tired of waiting for Skylar to return from...whatever she was doing. He figured it would be a nice time to fly by himself, or maybe just wander around a bit. Flying...it seemed nice, but he'd already done enough of that today. Strolling about the village seemed to be interesting to him enough. Although the gear attached to the back of his neck was a bit uncomfortable without Skylar on it, there wasn't much else he could do other than go around like this.
He looked at all the humans, busily working with each other and the other dragons. The Night Fury liked days like this, peaceful.
Or so he thought, when a human was suddenly pelted with a tree branch. Tier couldn't help himself but start laughing, it happened so quickly and the human's reaction was priceless, hitting the ground face first like that. His tail twitched with his laugh, patting the ground with his paw and closing his eyes. The other humans seemed to look at him with an odd look, and he quickly acted as if it didn't happen by sitting and wiping his blind eye with one of his paws.

She heard some kind of odd laughter and was finally forced to laugh herself. It was not easy to see through the leaves, but she managed to catch sight of the unfortunate human faceplanting. HOW FREAKING FUNNY, she totally nailed him. She shook the tree a little with her poorly contained giggles. She squirmed a bit, then the world shifted rapidly and the ground came up to smack her on the side.
Yeah, she totally fell out of the tree.
((lksdjf fail response is fail, but at least I finally replied! >:U/ ~))

Tier winced at the sound of a thud, some of the earth shaking from the other Night Fury's fall. His ears pressed back and he closed his eyes as his tail twitched, but he couldn't help but look over and trot to the other, sniffing the air a bit, and also make sure she was okay. He leaned in a little to continue to sniff and get the other's scent, he couldn't get much else other than tree.
Stepping back a little, Tier sat on his rump and tilted his head, making a small sound from his throat as his ears twitched with it, somewhat a mix between a growl and a whimper.

Had it not been for Mange being stunned, she probably would have smacked Tier's face away. Get off, don't you sniff me! For the moment, however, she just lay there, trying to make sense of up and down. She had landed on her back, so her legs were splayed in the air. That made sense as to why she could not just push against the ground and stand up. Up was down at the moment. She let her legs tilt, allowing her body to follow suit, and she flopped to her side. Her freed wing shot up in the air then covered herself, pressing against the ground. She looked up and finally took note of Tier. Another nightfury like she was. Oh, but hey. Great. She noticed the gear he sported. A pet. She huffed in frustration and pushed herself to her feet, backing away from him and back toward the trunk of the tree. She may have been almost half his size, but she was not going to grovel submissively.

Tier's ears were immediately pressed against his head as he saw the smaller Night Fury go back against the tree, going defensive. He pressed his body closer to the ground, a little bit spooked at Mange's sudden movement, whimpering a little. Baby. He tilted his head at her again, trying to get a better look by using the one eye he could see out of. He noticed her wings were a little different, and she was extremely small. Something wrong? What'd I do? If only communication was easier.
He nestled on the ground, putting two of his paws in front of his face and laying on top of them, using his wings to cover himself and whipping his tail around to the front, the old collar at the tip of it loose a minute before it hit the ground. He blinked at her, one eye after the other. Because of his bad depth perception, it affected other simple tasks like blinking, even trying to look for something for his owner. He tilted his head once again, the opposite way, sniffing the air, trying to get the smaller one's scent. No gear...she didn't have an owner? He perked his ears up again to try and say it was okay.
