Petra was born and raised in Berk, but now lives in Tale.

Petra had a hard time deciding between being a dragon vet and a dragonologist, so now she partakes of both. She certainly isn't specialized in anything, but one can definitely ask her advice and get some fairly well-educated answers. She does study behaviors mainly.
Weapon(s):
She handles a strange sort of weapon; a long metal pole that is pointed at one end and forked into a wide wishbone shape on the other. It's normally used for deterring an irritated subject she's been studying and stays strapped to her back the rest of the time.
Appearance:
Petra is tall (around 5' 8") and curvaceous, bordering on overweight. Her hair, which is her only vanity, is coppery brown with auburn streaks and falls to the back of her knees. She normally keeps it tied in a loose braid, which helps the length some, and braids a spiked strap into it to prevent any curious jaws from chewing on it. She wears clothes made for men, as her job and studies have her traveling extensively and dresses would just get in the way. However, her armor is light enough to let her move around. Her eyes show her true viking heritage, being a deep sapphire blue that washes out a bit around the edges, while her cheeks are usually somewhat windburned from riding. Her skin, despite being outside most of the time, is pale and freckles dot her cheeks and arms.
Personality:
Some places she goes, Petra is known as Petra the Patient. She's very level-headed and observent, and at the very least polite to everyone she meets. There are a few times she will get angry; and that's if she feels that a dragon is being abused by his or her's rider, or that she's being taken advantage of. She won't spend much money on herself, always stating she has what she needs," but will do anything for Cyra or another rider in need. She's very knowledgeable about dragon anatomy and behavior and seems to posess a knack for knowing personality traits. In dragons, anyway. Around people shes tactful, but often can be very direct. She doesn't much care for subtlety in humans, and will often go out of her way to avoid it just to save herself a headache later. It is because of this that she really doesn't like puzzles outside of dragon behavior.
Petra often prefers the outdoors even if it's raining or snowing; she's a very hardy woman. She loves flying and will often take that route rather than walk or sail. Sailing actually makes her incredibly seasick and she avoids that at any cost.

Cyra is an elegant dragon, with sweeping cheekplates that extend back to almost touch his neck, and spines that lay alomost flat rather than straight out in most Changelings. He is a large dragon, almost fully-grown with large, thin-boned wings. He himself is sinuous, his thick hide a marble of leaf green and a deeper emerald. His deep-set eyes are gray-green and slit-pupiled with no white showing at all.
Personality:
Cyra is a typical Changeling. He is stubborn as a mule, and narcissistic to boot. He doesn't much care for helping others, unless Petra asks him to help. He certainly won't listen to anyone younger than Petra giving him orders, and seems to consider your dragonlings and hatchlings beneath him. He was tamed by Petra as a near-adult, and so has retained a large amount of his previous nature, and will attack of startled, frightened, or cornered. He is fairly good at restraining himself otherwise. He is also a graceful creature, which is good considering his large size. If he could be aquated to any other creature, it would probably be a cat.
